For his contributions to the German Water Chemistry Society, Thilo Hofmann has been appointed honorary life member. He has been a member of the society since 1999 and was its vice-chairman from 2013 to 2021. The expert association attributes the award to the many years of commitment of the environmental geoscientist and his contribution to the international integration of the society.
